.WHO/About ONA.
What began as a deep interest in portraiture, fine art and design grew into a 15-year career spanning wedding, editorial and portrait photography — and work across commercial and creative environments that bring both range and precision to her practice.
Ona is attuned to the tone of a space and the story within what's often overlooked. On a wedding day, that translates to a steady, calm presence — words couples often use when describing what it's like to work with her. She works without over-directing, reading what's genuinely there and responding to what is happening, rather than imposing on it. The result is imagery that feels honest and considered.
Ona is an exhibiting artist and a Professional Member of the Image Makers Association Australia. She holds qualifications in Commercial Photography, Web Design, Entrepreneurship and Business Operations.
.thoughts/on presence.
“There’s something I’ve noticed over the years, a little phenomenon that happens almost every time I step into a wedding. I’ll meet someone - a bridesmaid, the groom’s mother, an old friend - and there’s an instant sense of familiarity. Like I know them already.
Sometimes, I even ask, “Have we met before?” But as the day unfolds, I realise we haven’t. And yet, that feeling lingers - uncanny, as if our paths had crossed before.
For a long time, I wondered why. Was it instinct? A kind of premonition? But with experience, I see it differently. When that feeling arises, it’s not about the past, it’s about what’s about to happen. By the end of the day - I will know them - just as fully as I sense in that first moment.
I’ve always been highly sensitive, and deeply intuitive. This allows a greater connection for these most significant days, and the creation of beautiful poignant images of your nuptials.”
- always with love, Ona
